ANTI SCALANT
Antiscalant is a water additive chemical used to prevent scaling on RO membranes. This chemical injection in water treatment is an essential part of preventing membranes from scaling (deposits) that can cause fouling. The longer the membrane resists fouling, the lower the OPEX costs will be.
One of the functions of antiscalant is to prevent fouling and scaling on reverse osmosis membranes. Membrane fouling generally occurs due to organic and inorganic elements. One of the inorganic causes is scale buildup.
